Call Back afternoon - October 2019

We enjoyed welcoming back the students currently out on placement to our Call Back afternoon at the University on Monday 28th October. The afternoon provided the ideal opportunity for YIBs to network with each other and share stories about their placements so far and also to learn more about the Academic Assessment which they will need to complete by October 2020

 

The Assessment comprises of a 5,500 word essay linking the Academic theories studied during the first two years at University in relation to the placement being undertaken and eight STAR examples based on skills demonstrated during the placement year.

It was fantastic to see a number of the YIBs produce video profiles to promote the programme and 10 students stay on for the evening YIB Employer evening to offer their own advice to the 2^nd years now seeking their own placements.

We welcomed students from a range of companies including: Asahi Beer, Atos, AWIN, Ascot Wealth Management, Camino Partners, Cherith Simmons, Enterprise Rent a Car, GE, Groupe Seb, J&J, Louis Vuitton, Mercedes Benz, Microsoft, Oracle, PiXL, PwC, Rank Group, Ricoh, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking, SAP, Superdrug, Surrey Chamber of Commerce, Teachitright, The Walt Disney Co, Unilever and VMWare.
