Part time jobs fair at Royal Holloway

It was great to see so many students at the part time jobs fair organised by the Careers Dept in the Royal Holloway Student's union yesterday.

The fair was absolutely buzzing with 25 local employers talking to students about part time job opportunities and Thorpe Park actually doing on site interviews.


There is so much information now that suggests the importance graduate recruiters put on work experience when assessing student applications forms:

 Half of graduate recruiters stated it was "not very likely/ not at all likely for a student without any previous work experience with any employers to be offered a job, irrespecitve of academic achievements" (source: High Fliers Research 2015)









There are also a number of employers who offer summer internships and insight weeks. These schemes are popular and may require an application before Christmas time. Look at the links below for more information:
