Pre placement briefing

It was good to see a number of Royal Holloway's Management Year in Business students about to head off for their placement year at our first Pre Placement Briefing meeting last week.

The students who attended this briefing were joining placement schemes at companies such as SAP, Ascot Wealth Management, Porsche Cars GB, GE Renewable Energy, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Chrystal Capital, HBO, NetApp, Winser London and GSMA.

The positions these students have secured are wide ranging and include:
Finance, Wealth Management assistant, Management trainee, placement with International Publicity department, Training and Development placement student, Project Manager placement, Marketing and Social Media placement, Diploma placement supporting the office of the MD, Marketing.

A Thriving on Placement manual is available for all students starting their placements and an electronic version can be found on the YIB moodle page.

We wish all our students the best of luck on their placement years and look forward to hearing more from them at the Call Back afternoons and Placement visit as well as their entries on the blog and YIB Facebook page.

YIB student Slav Stateva who did a European Product Planning placement with Canon Europe 2016/17 has said " My placement year was incredible... Not only did I meet so many amazing people who will stay friends for life but I also gained so much relevant experience. What is more important, I have a clearer idea of what I want to do after graduating!"
