Placement openings at VMWare

VMWare has been in touch to remind us of the range of placement positions they are looking to fill.
The Company provides cloud computing and platform virtualization software and services with Dell technologies being a majority share holder. One of Royal Holloway's  Management students, Militsa Tutekova, is currently undertaking a placement with VMWare, based in nearby Staines.
Previous YIB Jordan Maxwell also did a placement for the company as a Sales and Business Development Intern at the company and wrote a very insightful blog article for us about his placement :http://yearinbusiness.blogspot.com/…/a-year-in-business-at-…

Current placement vacancies include Cloud business intern, EMEA Marketing, Sales and Marketing operations, Strategic Alliances, Advisory Services. Details can be found on the Company website.

Royal Holloway Alumnus Edward Hutchinson specifically wanted to draw our attention to the Project Manager position https://lnkd.in/eH85DBE and current placement student
Alexandra Moylan- Jones shares some more details about the role:

“The project management internship at VMware is a really unique opportunity, not only do you get to work in a fast-paced, global organisation, but your input into the business has real monetary worth. The work you do actually matters in the overall scheme of the business, you will not be pushing papers but working with real customers on real projects that you own entirely. In the day-to-day of the role you are responsible for managing a databased used by the whole of the professional services organisation, running your own small projects and liaising with customers; with no two projects or customers the same, its safe to say your day job is rarely repetitive. My experience this year has been extremely positive, I have learned invaluable lessons and found a career I absolutely love, even if project management isn’t something you have been looking into, I urge you to consider this role, as it will likely exceed all expectations you have about the profession.

In addition to the role, VMware as a company really care about your personal development, for both your time with the company and for your future. During your time here you will have the chance to take part in both internal and external training, including the nationally recognised project management qualification – PRINCE2 - a certification that will set you apart from all other candidates in future roles, even if you decide project management isn’t for you.” – Alexandra Moylan-Jones
